Monday Message

Lowell Happenings
Friday night, many of our students were in The Show Must Go On. It was put on by the Watertown Rec Department and featured so many songs from the '80s. It was so fun and our students were incredible! A big congratulations to our very own Stacy Vachon for directing our students in such an amazing production! We are still waiting on pictures...the students looked great!

Monday Message

I hope you enjoyed the beautiful weather this weekend and had a happy Mother's Day.  I am pleased that our front steps have been repaired and were ready for climbing this morning.

Lowell Happenings
Last week Watertown's tree warden, Chris Hayward, visited the Lowell school and did a presentation on trees and arbor day to our kindergarten and third grade students. You may have noticed that your student came home with a tree seedling that day! Every student in the school received a seedling to bring home and (hopefully) care for. It was a great enrichment opportunity for our students and so wonderful to partner with a town office!

PTO Meeting and Update
The PTO will meet this Tuesday at 6:30 pm. Please note the time change as the meetings are usually held at 7pm in the Lowell lounge. The PTO update is here

Kindergarten Parent Event
There will be a principal's coffee for all current kindergarten parents on Thursday, May 29th at 8:20 am in the Lowell lounge. This is a great opportunity to hear about grade level specific curriculum, assessment, social-emotional learning, and the transition to first grade. There will be much time for questions and conversation.

Last Week For Homework Club
We will have the last week of homework club next week (week of May 19th) for students in grades 3, 4, and 5. This homework club has been generously funded by the PTO and was a huge success! Thank you to the PTO and to Mr Stezzi and Ms Hudon for leading the club and working with the club members. Sign up for the last week will go out this Thursday afternoon.

Monday Message

I hope you are enjoying the much nicer weather! Our Lowell garden is up and running and we are feeling like spring here finally. A parent, Mandy Fleming, and a team from her company came to the Lowell last Monday evening and replaced the (dead) trees in the planters on the steps with beautiful colored pansies! Thank you, Mandy and co!

Spirit Day
Here is a picture of our Acts of Kindness board from last week's spirit day. It was a great day and these are just some of the acts done throughout the day.

MCAS Testing This Week
Our last round of MCAS testing is this week. I have sent the schedule out to third, fourth, and fifth grade parents earlier. Please let me know if you have any questions about the schedule.
