Monday Message

I hope you enjoyed the beautiful weather this weekend and had a happy Mother's Day.  I am pleased that our front steps have been repaired and were ready for climbing this morning.

Lowell Happenings
Last week Watertown's tree warden, Chris Hayward, visited the Lowell school and did a presentation on trees and arbor day to our kindergarten and third grade students. You may have noticed that your student came home with a tree seedling that day! Every student in the school received a seedling to bring home and (hopefully) care for. It was a great enrichment opportunity for our students and so wonderful to partner with a town office!

PTO Meeting and Update
The PTO will meet this Tuesday at 6:30 pm. Please note the time change as the meetings are usually held at 7pm in the Lowell lounge. The PTO update is here  http://eepurl.com/UsCPP

Kindergarten Parent Event
There will be a principal's coffee for all current kindergarten parents on Thursday, May 29th at 8:20 am in the Lowell lounge. This is a great opportunity to hear about grade level specific curriculum, assessment, social-emotional learning, and the transition to first grade. There will be much time for questions and conversation.

Last Week For Homework Club
We will have the last week of homework club next week (week of May 19th) for students in grades 3, 4, and 5. This homework club has been generously funded by the PTO and was a huge success! Thank you to the PTO and to Mr Stezzi and Ms Hudon for leading the club and working with the club members. Sign up for the last week will go out this Thursday afternoon.
